Speaking of social pressures, imagine the bravery and courage it takes to address a congregation like we saw Louie Cayabyab do. Maybe more ministers and members will follow in his footsteps. I have no doubt that there are other ministers who wish to step down, but are unable to do so because of all the pressure on them.
So far we know about Louie Cayabyab stepping down, but will there be more in the future? I have heard rumors of other ministers stepping down but there has been no proof as of yet. Here is an alternate video angle of his farewell address in the locale of Fremont, California. It takes a lot for a minister to step down from office. Imagine it from their perspective. They spend years in ministerial school. They are told to get married and have children as soon as possible. Their livlihood is provided by the church. Leaving their duty is problematic for their children and spouses as they will also become social outcasts.
